Merry Christmas everyone! The following is a grouping of pictures to show you what I have been up to for the past few weeks. I LOVE Christmas and the reason for the season! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy.
I’ve showed Mr. Mouse before, but he’s sporting a beautiful Christmas Tree. Mr. Mouse pincushion stands quite tall, a good 10-12.” He was made for me by a Lila Sugg, my 90+ year old, sewing friend. Thank you again Lila!
Simply putting greens into a beautiful vase and adding a festive bow can be the perfect addition to any spot.
Below are three of my latest acquisitions. Found them a few weeks ago. Hand blown Mercury Glass reindeer. I think they are quite old and possibly European.
Sure, everyone sets their table like this for everyday. O.K., I have been preparing for having my home and my mom’s “2nd Dwelling” (she built it on our property) on a Christmas Home tour on Saturday, Dec. 9th. Check out the hand crocheted table topper. It was my Mother-In-Law’s Grandmothers. It came from Russia, via Canada, and then to my M.I.L. home via, Montana. There are woodland animals in the whole piece. It’s funny, I wasn’t planning a theme but “Woodland animals” kept popping up in each vignette I created.
We have a simple “Woodland Themed” Charlie Brown Tree. This is actually the top of a 30 ft. tree from our neighbors yard. It’s perfect for this year.
My post is a little disjointed and late this week as I am recovering from a really BAD case of the flu. My mom caught it too and now my husband has it. I truly was flat on my back for days. I have been binge watching Hallmark Christmas movies when not sleeping. Mom and I are doing soo much better. Robert, well, he is on day 2. Take care dear ones and until next Friday, Big hugs, Heidi
